| Vijay Kulkarni has had
a long career in banking and the development sector.
He has earlier worked with Canara Bank, the RUDSET
Institutes, BASIX and Development Resource Centre.
He has a Masters degree in Social Work from TISS
- Mumbai and a MEP degree from IIM, Ahmedabad and
also holds a post graduate diploma in Gandhian studies. |

Programme Coordinator, Karnataka Learning Partnership |

| Ravikumar is a government
high school teacher on deputation to Akshara. He
has been deputed by the Department of Education,
Government of Karnataka, to Akshara Foundation as
a Liaison Officer since 2000. He currently heads
the reading programme under the Karnataka Learning
Partnership. He holds a Masters degree in Physics
and a Bachelors degree in Education. |

| Lathadevi heads Akshara
Foundation’s preschool programme. She has
earlier worked as an instructor and Principal in
the Karnataka State Council for Child Welfare. She
holds a Masters degree in Home Science. |

| Anandhi started work
in the NGO sector by teaching spoken English to
visually impaired children in New Delhi. She has
also worked at The Akanksha Foundation, Mumbai,
in various capacities. She is presently the Programme
Coordinator for the math support programme. She
has a Bachelors degree in Science from Madras University
and Diploma in multimedia, ecommerce & web designing. |

Foundation in 2007. He heads the Library Programme
in Bangalore and has a Masters’ degree in

Regional Coordinator, Dharwad |

| Banderao Patwari is
Akshara Foundation’s Regional Coordinator
and he manages the rural and catalytic programmes
at North Karnataka. Prior to this, he worked as
a project officer in Prerana, an NGO and was involved
in designing irrigation schemes and their implementation.
He holds a diploma in Agriculture Engineering and
a diploma in Development Planning. |

Swamy
Team Leader, Gulbarga |

| Mahantayya was a Branch
Manager for KBSLA Bank for 6 years and also worked
as a field officer for 3 years in Sandoz Agro Limited.
He currently manages all the programmes in the Gulbarga
unit. He has a Bachelors degree in Agricultural
Science. |

Angelina
Resource Group |

| Angelina has rich experience
in teaching both as a preschool and primary school
teacher. She has also been a headmistress for 6
years. She has been working with Akshara since 2003
and is presently part of the resource group. She
holds a Bachelors degree along with a D Ed and JOC
degrees. |
